This competition will have one quiet focus session, and one standard local competition session. It is the last chance to qualify for 2025 Open Nationals!
Have you thought about trying powerlifting but hesitated due to nerves, anxiety about hearing your name announced, or feeling overwhelmed by the experienced lifters around you?
The Australian Powerlifting Alliance's Quiet Focus is here to offer you a genuine competition experience with an atmosphere tailored to reduce stress without altering the rules.
Quiet Focus aims to provide an inclusive opportunity for a remarkable first competition. In this special event, you’ll face the challenges of competitive lifting, complete with referees and commands, but without the unnecessary hype that can be daunting for newcomers. APA recognises the barriers that often deter people from trying lifting, and we are committed to breaking down those obstacles.
Whether you're a lifter yourself or know someone who would benefit from this competition experience, reach out to us. We're eager to welcome all who are interested in taking that first step into the world of powerlifting.

Your total will be recorded and uploaded as per any other sanctioned competition. This result can be used as a qualification pathway for the APA Nationals Series.
You are welcome to visit the establishment beforehand and we will give you a point of contact also. Your entry form will allow you to give us an idea of your current barriers and how we can assist you.
