IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING REGISTRATION
Step 1: Team Captain Registration
- The team Captain registers the team via the APA website.
- During registration, the Team Captain must provide:
- Team Name
- Teammate’s name
- The Team Captain completes payment for the team as part of the registration.
After registering, the Team Captain will receive a confirmation email with the unique registration link for their teammates.
Step 2: Teammate Registration
- The Team Captain forwards the unique registration link to their teammates.
- Each teammate uses the link to complete their registration (no payment required).
Power Pals II is a team based powerlifting competition. Teams of two will battle it out with podium placings determined by combined GL points! There are no minimum requirements to enter though competitors must be part of a team of two to be eligible to compete.
Your individual total can be used as qualification for the 2026 Nationals Series.
Competition Details
All APA competitions are bound by IPF rules; be sure to familiarise yourself with the rules of competition and approved equipment list ahead of competition day.
If you are under 18 years of age, a parent/legal guardian/temporary guardian must be present on the day. If not, you will be unable to compete. More information can be found on the APA website.
This is a Special Event.
Selection criteria
- The podium determined by combined GL points of the team member
- There will be no individual medals/normal weight class placings
- Team members will compete in separate flights/flights not necessarily ordered by weight class/age category
- Apart from the above, normal IPF rules apply
Preliminary competition schedule
This competition will have two sessions.
Session 1 (10am to 1.15pm)
- Lifting will begin from 10am
- Weigh-in will begin at 8am
Session 2 (2pm to 5.15pm)
- Lifting will begin from 2pm
- Weigh-in will begin at 12pm
Maximum number of entrants: 40 (20 teams)
