Barbell Geisha was established to celebrate and empower strong women. This female-only powerlifting competition, Barbell Geisha: Genesis, seeks to provide a supportive and empowering environment through which to showcase and celebrate the strength, skill and determination of women in strength sports.

Competition Details

All APA competitions are bound by IPF rules; be sure to familiarise yourself with the rules of competition and approved equipment list ahead of competition day.

If you are under 18 years of age, a parent/legal guardian/temporary guardian must be present on the day. If not, you will be unable to compete. More information can be found on the APA website.

This is a Special Event.

Selection criteria

• Normal IPF rules apply
• Female entries only; normal IPF female weight classes.

Preliminary competition schedule

• This competition will have one session.

  • Lifting will begin from 10am
  • Weigh-in will begin at 8am
