Across two full days, 100 athletes will step onto the Alpha platform to test their strength, composure, and competitive spirit in our most prestigious event of the year.

Competition Details

All APA competitions are bound by IPF rules; be sure to familiarise yourself with the rules of competition and approved equipment list ahead of competition day.

If you are under 18 years of age, a parent/legal guardian/temporary guardian must be present on the day. If not, you will be unable to compete. More information can be found on the APA website.

Preliminary competition schedule

This competition will have two sessions over two days

Day 1

Session 1 (9am to 1:30pm)

• Weigh-in will be at 7am local time
• Lifting will begin at 9am local time

Session 2 (2pm to 6:30pm)

• Weigh-in will be at 12pm local time
• Lifting will begin at 2pm local time

Day 2

Session 1 (9am to 1:30pm)

• Weigh-in will be at 7am local time
• Lifting will begin at 9am local time

Session 2 (2pm to 6:30pm)

• Weigh-in will be at 12pm local time
• Lifting will begin at 2pm local time
