Have you been waiting for a local competition in Canberra? Capital Challenge is your opportunity to take to the platform for the first time, compete for fun, or qualify for the 2027 Nationals Series. Limited to 20 lifters, run by House of Reps, this is your chance to compete at home.

Competition Details

All APA competitions are bound by IPF rules; be sure to familiarise yourself with the rules of competition and approved equipment list ahead of competition day.

If you are under 18 years of age, a parent/legal guardian/temporary guardian must be present on the day. If not, you will be unable to compete. More information can be found on the APA website.

Preliminary competition schedule

This competition will have one session, with a Novice League competition afterwards

• Weigh-in will begin at 8am
• Lifting will begin at 10am
